This course serves as an introduction to the nursing assessment and analysis component of the nursing process as a method of determining a well individual's health potential and status across the lifespan. Emphasis is on obtaining and documenting a health history, performing a nursing assessment and beginning to formulate a nursing diagnosis. Prerequisite: admission into the nursing program and permission of Dean or instructor.
